Fixing "File Too Large" Errors (Discord, Gmail, etc.)

We've all been there: trying to share a funny clip on Discord or an important document on Gmail, only to be stopped by file size limits.

Common Platform Limits

• Discord (Free tier): 50MB (recently increased from 25MB, though audio is often restricted to 10MB/50MB depending on server).
• Gmail: 25MB for attachments (larger files route through Google Drive).
• WhatsApp: 16MB for video, 100MB for documents.

How to Bypass Limitations

If you don't want to upload to a cloud drive and share a link, compression is your only option.

• For Videos: Lower the bitrate, resize the resolution (e.g. from 4K to 1080p), or trim unnecessary footage.
• For Audios: Convert WAV to MP3, or lower the MP3 bitrate from 320kbps to 128kbps, which is usually fine for speech.
• For PDFs: Compress embedded images and remove unnecessary fonts.
